Nike Dunk High Top Trainers
Nike Dunk High Top Trainers
Nike Dunk Trainers originally arrived in 1985 with Peter Moore's "Be True To Your School" campaign. The colours used on the sneakers and uppers were taken from twelve different schools colours in an unusual sneaker range for a decade that favoured simple white sneakers. And even though nowadays the Nike Dunks are extremely popular, the style was irrelevant with basketball fans and players soon after its original 80s release, until skateboarders decided they were the go-to shoe for them. Skateboarders loved the Dunk High Top Trainers because it offered durability and was lightweight for movement while being effortlessly styled and low priced. Over the decades, the style has been reimagined and reworked numerous times to create the many-formed and in-demand retro item it is today.
The High Top Dunk silhouette has been relaunched repeatedly and established an entirely new legacy beyond the early letdown, culminating with the 2018 retro re-release. The style now rivals classic Jordan's in popularity and dominates the market. With collaborations including Travis Scott, Virgil Abloh, and Ben & Jerry's, the style isn't going anywhere in a hurry.
